Airbnb took a huge leap in customer safety on Monday.
The company banned all indoor security cameras at its partner houses, condos and apartments.
Previously, cameras were allowed in public areas like hallways and living rooms but not in bedrooms or bathrooms.
Airbnb said in a statement, "These changes were made in consultation with our guests, hosts, and privacy experts, and we’ll continue to seek feedback to help ensure our policies work for our global community."
