Ford is recalling around 238,000 Explorers after an investigation found that a rear axle bolt can fail, which could cause a loss of drive power or allow the SUVs to roll away while in park.
Affected Explorers included 2020 to 2022 models.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigated the issue after two complaints that previous recalls to repair the axle this year and in 2022 didn't work.
Letters will start going out on November 6th and Ford dealerships will replace the axle bolt and bushing for free.
