About the 2021 Guilford Heart & Stroke Walk
The 28th Annual Greater Guilford Heart and Stroke Walk Digital Experience will take place on Saturday, May 15, 2021 encouraging everyone to walk where they are for healthier, longer lives. With a focus on raising vital funds for heart disease and stroke research and prevention education programs in our community. The American Heart Association currently funds $1.3 million in research grants underway at Wake Forest Baptist Health, UNC Greensboro and NC A&T. The next big advancements could come from our own back yard! New this year - The American Heart Association, with support of Greensboro Parks and Recreation, is encouraging residents to get walking and explore trails in Guilford County. The Walking Rocks Triad Program begins on May 1 and concludes on May 15, the date of the Guilford Heart and Stroke Walk Digital Experience.
How It Works:
1) Paint a rock and place it on a Greensboro City Trail or anywhere you walk!
2) As you walk and find a painted rock or as you place your painted rock on your walking route, post a picture using #WalkingRocksTriad for a chance at prizes. Check out the Piedmont Discovery App to locate trails near you. A list of suggested #WalkingRocksTriad included below.
