GREENSBORO, N.C. — We're gearing up for significant rain later this week that could bring flash flooding, and maybe even severe thunderstorms. Lots to track for you through the mid-week before we clear out on Friday.
It all has to do with a very active flow of moisture across the country. It's starting in the Pacific Ocean, moving over the Gulf of Mexico and into the Southeast. This is gathering along a front draped across the southeast, bringing rain along this slow moving boundary. That area will shift over us starting on Wednesday, with some rounds of rain likely in the afternoon and evening hours mostly.
