GREENSBORO, N.C. — The WFMY News 2 Weather Team is tracking a possibility of ice for early Friday morning. Here's what they're seeing.
WHAT'S THE WEATHER SETUP:
Cold air will arrive straight from Canada Wednesday night. It will lock in for Thursday. This will be a cold and dry day of weather. For us, cold air is a key ingredient to have before any possible winter weather event.
Late Thursday night into early Friday morning, moisture will be moving northward from the Gulf of Mexico toward the Carolinas. This is relatively warm air coming our way. The problem is that temperatures at the ground will still be cold.
