An Old AOL Commercial Predicts the Dangers of the Internet
We found an old America Online commercial from the mid 2000s called"The Internet Is A Bad Thing". It talks about how all the good stuff on the Internet could easily turn out bad. The scary part is that it's all come true. Your identity can be stolen, your home "invaded," and your savings can be robbed without anyone setting foot inside your door. Yes, you can purchase just about anything you want, but at the same time, everything you do is watched, monitored, and processed without you ever knowing about it. They call the Internet "one of the most dangerous weapons ever created" . . . and now that we know it can influence elections, shut down power grids, and be the go-to place for hate groups, well . . . sounds about right.
