HIGH POINT, NC (WFMY) - Police are at the scene of a homicide investigation in the 1400 block of Franklin Ave. Thursday morning after a woman was shot and killed.

Police found a woman in the street dead from a gunshot wound to the head when they arrived to Franklin Ave. around 3:30 a.m. There's no indication that the Franklin Ave. shooting and Tuesday's deadly shooting of pregnant teen Anastaista Ray are related at this time.
