A Laurens man faces multiple charges including attempted murder and kidnapping, after deputies say he shot and killed a horse and turned the gun on himself.
The Laurens County Sheriff's Office said in a release that deputies responded to a domestic incident with shots fired Monday on Stiles Lane.
Deputies heard several shots and saw two crashed vehicles when they arrived at the home.
The suspect — identified as Colton David Hurley — had shot himself in the face with a shotgun, according to authorities.
Investigators say Hurley went to the home looking for a female victim who wasn't home
