Chico is the Man!

Meet Chico (snuggly!)

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO SET UP A TIME TO MEET OUR PETS.Chico is a charming, 5 pound, 12 year old Chihuahua who has always been with a loving owner who recently had to give up her three dogs due to a change in family circumstances. He is a super sweet, friendly, calm little pup who is most certainly a professional lap baby and snuggler.Chico wants to be close to his beloved people as much as he possibly can and will make the funniest mewing noises when he feels lonely, which is pretty much any time he is not with you! If you want a really loving little pup to keep your lap warm and go with you lots of places, Chico will be very happy to oblige! He is great with strangers and good with other little dogs (lived with 2 others in his old home and gets along fine with our other rescue dogs here). He also has a lovely, gentle confidence so he is a portable Chihuahua.Chico is wonderful on the leash and enjoys going for short walks. At his age, little adventures in the neighborhood are enough to keep him happy. His personality is pure baby doll.Since he is a mature fellow, he has a few little imperfections but we think his darling personality more than makes up for that so please do not pass him by just because he has a few years under his belt! When he had his dental, they had to extract all of his remaining teeth but he still has a cute smile and his tongue stays in his mouth just fine. He has one eye with limited vision but it does not bother him a bit and no treatment is needed. He has a heart murmur but gets around just fine, has no symptoms and the vets says he does not need any medications at this time. He tolerated his recent anesthesia (for dental and neuter) perfectly. So, if you know how fabulous easy going senior pups are and want a cute little snuggler to keep you company and follow you everywhere, Chico is your man! He would probably fit in fine if you already have another little dog in your home that enjoys a companion pup (not a playmate). Chico would probably enjoy having a furry companion but he would also be fine as an only dog as long as you have lots of time for snuggles and love.We do not know if he is housetrained (probably was) but he does not mark inside at all and potties nicely for you when you take him out on the leash. Naturally, any new dog will need to acclimate to a new home and schedule. Plus, remember that tiny little senior pups do naturally need more frequent potty breaks, just like us senior people!Adoption donation $125.Surfing petfinder?
