Target is phasing out an old-school way to pay.
Starting on Monday, July 15th, Target will no longer take personal checks.
A statement from Target said the move comes because of "extremely low volumes" of checks being written.
According to a 2023 survey, only one percent of consumers prefer to use checks for in-store purchases.
