Study: Too Much Diet Soda Increases Risk Of Heart Condition

A new study shows a link between diet soda, similar drinks, and Atrial Fibrillation.

In the study, over 200,000 people between 37 and 73 years old were monitored.

The research found that people who drank more than two liters of artificially sweetened drinks were 20 percent more likely to develop this particular heart condition.

The CDC says A-Fib occurs when the heart beats too slowly, too fast, or irregularly. Side effects include lightheadedness, fatigue, and shortness of breath.

A-Fib is also the leading cause of stroke in the United States.
