GREENSBORO, N.C. — It seems that we can't get a break from all the rain lately and we're headed for even more as an unsettled weather pattern sets in for the second half of the week.
The WFMY News 2 Weather team is keeping a close watch on a low-pressure system that is likely to bring heavy rain and a few strong storms to the Piedmont Triad Wednesday afternoon and evening.
This area of low pressure strengthened into Tropical Storm Bertha this morning.
Although this system is now a named tropical storm our expected impacts here in the Piedmont haven't changed -- heavy rain at times, possible flash flooding, and a low end severe weather threat.
