LINWOOD, N.C. — A woman died when a tree crushed her mobile home in Linwood early Monday morning during severe weather.
It happened at a home on Linwood Southmont Road near West Holloway Church Road shortly after 6 a.m.
Family members confirmed 61-year-old Beverly Long died at the scene. Her husband, Maurice Long, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries but has been released.
