TIMELINE: Severe weather possible overnight Sunday into Monday in the Triad

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A major storm system will track across the Southeast Easter Sunday bringing damaging winds, flooding, and tornadoes. Here in NC, we're expecting it to arrive late Sunday night into Monday morning. The WFMY News 2 Weather Team is on top of it to keep you safe.

WEATHER SETUP:

Big weather changes are in store heading into Easter Sunday. A strong push of warmth and moisture will be moving into the deep south from the Gulf of Mexico on Easter Sunday. At the same time, an extremely fast jet stream will be setup over the Southeast - much stronger than usual for this time of year. Low pressure, and a cold front will be moving in from the west. This is a recipe for severe weather that we have seen play out many times before.
