On Saturday, October 5th, local businesses will come together to take a stand against breast cancer. With October being the globally recognized month to provide awareness and fundraising towards a cure for breast cancer, retailers on and around Bonnie Place will host "Turn Bonnie Place Pink Day" to honor survivors, caregivers and remember those who have fought breast cancer. Archdale business owners have partnered with American Cancer Society in their Real Men Wear Pink of the Triad and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiatives. Each participating location will run a special sale, promotion or highlight an item where proceeds from the day, a specific product or service go straight to this charity. Proceeds will be used to help support the triad area.
The breast cancer awareness event and fundraiser kicks off at 9:00 and ends at the close of business.
Everyone is encouraged to share, shop and wear pink to show you want to make a difference too. There will be an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets, meet Real Men Wear Pink of the Triad candidates, and gather pertinent information about the RMWP campaign upcoming events and the impact it has on our community.
