On January 5, 2017, Nathan and I were able to meet one of the sweetest blessing we could ever ask for and that was our son Bentley. Just one day later, we found out that Bentley had suffered from a stroke at birth causing seizures and having extensive brain damage. We spoke with many doctors and were prepared for what might come from this such as weakness and movement issues on his left side, vision impairment, possible motor and development delays, and more. We met monthly with nurses and doctors, only for them to tell us that Bentley was developing perfectly. He is our miracle baby and has a true testimony to share with the world. Bentley has since been discharged and continues to show no signs of damage.
Now, we want to bring awareness to all the children who suffer from pediatric stroke. It is more common that we ever knew. These kids feel like they are different from all others and they are. They were born to stand out, to show what a miracle looks like, and to show how God is great! Please help us celebrate these kids and support them in overcoming obstacles thrown at them each day.
