WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A break was revealed in a search for a possible drowning victim at Winston Lake.
Winston-Salem police confirmed a body was found in the Lake Tuesday. In a media briefing, authorities said the body was found around 11:39 a.m. and they are working to identify the person.
Police said it was too early to speculate on the person's identity, noting that water can change the appearance of the body.
