GREENSBORO, N.C. — We're watching our first real chance at severe weather in the Piedmont for this season. Monday could usher in the potential for severe storms in the afternoon and evening hours as a low makes its way to into North Carolina from the Southwest.
The main threat will be damaging straight line winds and heavy rains however, the possibility for a brief tornado cannot be ruled out.
SEVERE THREAT TIMELINE
- Foothills: 2pm - 6pm
- Triad: 4pm - 9pm
After 9pm, the severe threat will wind down, but showers & storms may continue.
