Meet Hope

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO SET UP A TIME TO MEET OUR PETS.

Hope is a sweet Poodle, a Valentines Day special born on Feb 14, 2007. She is 12 years old and 14 pounds.

She lived in a home with an elderly owner and two other dogs. He did love her but obviously could no longer care for her properly.

Hope was a matted mess with long toenails when she was surrendered to us. She just got a dental and had to have all of her teeth removed. Her mouth feels so much better. She has a great appetite and does fine with soft food and treats.

Hope is good with all people and also with other dogs. We are housing her with our other dogs here and she does fine with all of them.

Hope is sweet, quiet, friendly, and gets along with everyone.

Now that she is groomed and free from all that matted fur, her cute personality is coming out and she will have sweet happy moments of prancing and wiggle wagging her body in happiness. Since she is a senior, she is normally very laid back and quiet, just toddling around the yard or sleeping peacefully in her room.

She is housetrained and will pee and poop nicely for you when you take her out on the leash to the grassy yard. She is great on the leash.

We have realized that Hope is mostly blind and deaf but her nose shows her the way. She does great with an established routine and does not worry in new places or worry about new dogs, just ambles around and does not fret if she bumps into something unfamiliar. What a good natured girl!!

She has an easy going confidence that serves her well. While she may not bond immediately with you when you come to meet her, once she recognizes who you are by your actions, scent, etc. she is more than happy to be friends and show you her happy dance.

Hope would be great in a one level home with other sweet little dogs for company. Don't you need to add a deserving senior to your home??
