Scooters Returning to Greensboro in Scooter Share Program

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Standup electric scooters are making their long-awaited return to Greensboro!

The city says it has accepted permit applications from companies Lime and Bird to offer their electric scooters for rent as part of a pilot 'Scooter Share' program.

In November, Greensboro banned the use of Bird Scooters and asked Bird to remove all their scooters. The city council then came up with new rules regulating their use and created a permit pilot program for businesses that operate a scooter-share program that uses the public right of way.
