Gov. Cooper Urges Western NC To Prepare For Possible Winter Weather

RALEIGH, North Carolina — North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper is asking some to prepare for a possible bout of below-freezing temperatures and ice or snow or sleet this week.

Western North Carolina could see accumulating snow late Tuesday with effects lingering into Wednesday. Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings will be in effect starting at 4 a.m. Tuesday for much of the North Carolina mountains. Ice could formulate on roads, causing for hazardous driving early Wednesday.
