High School Football Player Dies During ACL Surgery

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Spartanburg community is mourning the loss of one of their youngest and brightest stars. 

Spartanburg High School Senior Nick Dixon died Friday from complications during surgery to repair his ACL and Meniscus.

The school superintendent said Dixon actually committed Thursday night to play for Wingate University, which is located southeast of Charlotte.
