Opal

Meet Opal

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO SET UP A TIME TO MEET OUR PETS.What a sweet little kitty! Opal is a pretty 1 year old who was found as a stray. She is petite, probably around 6 to 7 pounds. She appears to be healthy except for scabby ear tips (on antibiotics right now) and does not have FIV, yay!Opal is very friendly and bonds in a flash. She can be an itty bit shy in a brand new place but settles in and warms up quickly, in a matter of minutes. She LOVES attention and thinks laps are awesome. This is one snuggly girl! She acts like she has been in a home at some point in her life, enjoying hanging out in a kitty bed, on chairs, etc, but mostly on laps. She is fine with being carried around by a kind friend and definitely misses you when you leave. This sweetheart will surely be one to come to the door to greet you when you come home from work.Opal has been quite tolerant and patient as she came into rescue. She is not a complainer and is even a trooper about taking her pills. She does not play with toys yet; does not seem used to those at all. People time instead of play is what makes her happy. She seems to be a pretty laid back youngster.Opal has a wonderfully luscious, plush white coat and a cute tail that is a bit shorter than normal. She was with a foster family for a week before coming to us and they said she was non reactive to her dogs barking. We think she would be fine in a home with a dog that mostly ignored her and did not chase. We are not sure if she does not hear very well or if she is just simply a relaxed, non reactive type of gal. She definitely does not startle when you make loud noises behind her though sometimes she turns to look at the source. But, if she is partially deaf (we can tell she does hear a little bit regardless), that only makes her sweeter and more mellow so is actually a bit of an advantage if true!Other than her current issue with her ear tips, which could be just sunburn, (yes, our vet is taking care of those), she is ready to roll and go to her new home. This is one absolutely precious, charming, affectionate munchkin who will certainly delight her new owners with her beautiful spirit and loving nature.
