Watch Out for New Tech Support Scam

Tech support scams are becoming more common, with fraudsters looking to steal your personal and financial information.

Scammers use phone calls, online ads or email and claim they're tech support trying to fix your computer. They may ask you to install a remote tool to take control of your PC, and ask for your passwords and payment.

If you get an unexpected call from someone claiming to be from a tech company like Microsoft or Apple, hang up. Don't trust caller ID as that can also be spoofed by scammers.
