A recent post on Reddit's Wedding Shaming feed shared a story about a guest who was expecting a full meal at the reception but got a Cup O' Noodles.
The poster and his guest were asked to choose chicken or fish as their reception meal. They both chose chicken. They arrived dressed up for the ceremony, but what happened afterward was shocking.
The guest said, "The day-of, we met ourselves with a self-serve instant ramen bar. Just, instant ramen, cubed ham, some little vegetables here and there, and kids-sized chip bags. To top it off, it was also BYOB."
The story continued, "We reserved judgment, as our first instinct was that the bride and groom must be down on their luck. Turns out, NOPE! They’re both well underway into their careers (the bride to be is a professional chef— isn’t that ironic), they own their home, and for their honeymoon they’re jetting off to Cuba."
When someone asked if there was a catering issue that caused the change, the poster replied, "You would think! But no, it turns out they held a meal for a separate group of people but shafted the other guests. It wasn’t alerted to the guests or apologized for either."
