John Oates says he's moved on from Hall & Oates as he and Daryl Hall are in litigation.
Hall filed a lawsuit late last year to prevent Oates from selling his share of their music.
Oates told 'Rolling Stone', "As far as I’m concerned, I’ve moved on. I feel like I have a new lease on my creative life.”
He explained that its more than just his fallout with his bandmate that's changed his mind about Hall & Oates. He added, "During the pandemic, there were no more private planes. There were no more arena shows or even acoustic shows. It gave me a chance to step back. I had a chance to reevaluate things...I understand why people come and want to hear the big hits. To keep playing them, for me, was no longer interesting. I just wanted to do something else.”
