"The Goonies" might've been my favorite movie growing up, definitely Top 5. It appears they've found the shipwreck that could've inspired the 80s classic "The Goonies" off the Oregon Coast! A team of volunteers found pieces of a ship in a cave off the Oregon coast. After some research, it turns out it was from the Santo Cristo de Burgos. The ship capsized in 1693 near Astoria, Oregon (where Goonies is based) while sailing from the Philippines to Mexico. Read the full story HERE
